Fun with Felt

More mommy-related artwork ;) These are some felt puppets I made for/with my kids. I actually made the Sesame Street puppets last February (almost a year ago!) as favors for my son Dax's birthday party. I just did some reductive drawings of the characters for those, cut 'em out, and bam--puppets.
The creatures on the top are some "silly monsters" I made over the last couple days with my son Dax and his friend Cadence. We made them because Dax was misbehaving, so I took away his t.v. privileges for the day. So what do you do when there's no shows to watch? You make silly monsters!

OK, first of all these are creative as all get out. But I have to ask, that top row, is that a line up of your family with you and Jimmy book-ending the kids?

I'll stay tuned for the answers. New a word from our sponsers ....

hey jimmy,

i guess the puppets could look like us book-ending the kids! but no, they're just spontaneously drawn characters. i'd ask dax & his little friend what kind of shapes they wanted me to draw, and that's how these guys were born--then i let the kids pick the colors for each one.
